pastel pencil
Chalky drawing stick
A pastel pencil is a drawing tool with a core of compressed pastel pigment encased in wood, combining the soft, powdery color of pastels with the precision of a pencil.
Artists use them for detailed work, fine lines, and blending: She added highlights with a white pastel pencil.
Unlike oil pastels, they produce a chalky, matte finish.
