part-singing
Voices in harmony
Part-singing is vocal music in which different singers perform different melodic lines simultaneously, creating harmony.
Unlike unison singing where everyone sings the same notes, part-singing divides voices into distinct parts—soprano, alto, tenor, bass—each with its own melodic line: The choir's part-singing filled the cathedral with rich harmonies.
