parathormone
Bone calcium releaser
Parathormone is a hormone secreted by the parathyroid glands that regulates calcium and phosphorus levels in the blood.
When calcium drops too low, parathormone triggers its release from bones and increases absorption in the intestines.
Also called parathyroid hormone or PTH.
