parallelize
Divide for concurrency
To parallelize is to divide a task so that multiple processors or systems can work on it simultaneously.
The term comes from computing, where parallelizing code means restructuring it to run operations concurrently rather than sequentially: We parallelized the algorithm and cut processing time by 80%.
The concept extends beyond software to any process redesigned for simultaneous execution across multiple workers or resources.
