parallel text
Side-by-side versions
A parallel text presents the same content in two languages side by side, typically on facing pages or in adjacent columns.
The format allows readers to compare translations with originals or to learn a language by reading both versions together: a parallel text edition of the Iliad.
Bibles and classical works commonly appear in parallel text editions.
