pairing mode

Device discovery state

Pairing mode is a state in which a Bluetooth device actively seeks another device to connect with.

Headphones, speakers, keyboards, and other wireless accessories must be put into pairing mode before a phone or computer can discover them: Hold the button until the light flashes to enter pairing mode.

Once paired, devices typically reconnect automatically.
