outdoor event
Festival under sky
An outdoor event is any organized gathering or activity held outside rather than in a building or enclosed space.
Concerts, festivals, sporting events, weddings, and farmers markets all qualify when they take place in open air.
The term distinguishes these gatherings from indoor alternatives, often because weather becomes a factor in planning: The outdoor event was postponed due to thunderstorms.
Outdoor events range from casual picnics to elaborate productions requiring tents, stages, and portable facilities.
