odd man out
One who differs
Odd man out is the person who doesn't fit with the rest of a group—different in some way that sets them apart: As the only non-musician at the party, I felt like the odd man out.
The phrase comes from a method of choosing one person from a group by coin toss or drawing straws.
It can describe someone excluded by circumstance or by deliberate choice.
