nowhere in sight
Cannot be found
Nowhere in sight means not visible or not present, often implying something expected or hoped for has failed to appear: The bus was nowhere in sight, A solution is nowhere in sight.
The phrase suggests looking for something and finding its absence notable—whether a person who's late, a lost object, or an abstract goal like peace or progress.
