nonplayer
One who watches
A nonplayer is someone who doesn't participate in a game or activity.
In video games and tabletop roleplaying, a nonplayer character (NPC) is controlled by the computer or game master rather than by a human player: The nonplayer characters in this game have surprisingly good dialogue.
Outside gaming, nonplayer can describe anyone who isn't actively involved: He's a nonplayer in office politics.
