nondesigner
Lacking formal credentials
A nondesigner is someone who lacks formal training or professional experience in design.
The term appears in contexts where design tasks fall to people outside the field: The software is intuitive enough for nondesigners.
It can also distinguish amateur or untrained participants from professionals: The workshop welcomes both designers and nondesigners.
