nondancers

Those who abstain

Nondancers are people who don't dance—whether by choice, lack of skill, or physical limitation.

The term often appears in contexts distinguishing those who participate from those who watch: The wedding reception had plenty of seating for nondancers.

It can also describe someone's self-identification: I've always been a nondancer.
