never-nude
Always wearing something
A never-nude is someone who refuses to be fully naked, even when alone or in situations where nudity would be normal—showering, changing clothes, or being intimate.
The term gained currency from the television series *Arrested Development*, where a character suffers from this as a psychological condition, always wearing cutoff shorts beneath his clothes.
Used both for the genuine anxiety and humorously for excessive modesty: He's basically a never-nude—I've never seen him without a shirt at the beach.
