nest builder
Twig-weaving creature
A nest builder is a creature that constructs nests, typically birds but also certain fish, insects, and mammals.
The term extends figuratively to someone who creates a cozy home environment: She's a natural nest builder, always making spaces feel warm and welcoming.
In psychology, nest building describes the urge to prepare a home before major life changes, especially pregnancy.
