nerf guns
Toy dart launchers
Nerf guns are toy blasters that shoot foam darts or balls, made by the Nerf brand.
The soft projectiles make them safe for indoor play and mock battles: The kids had a nerf gun war in the basement.
The term often applies generically to any foam-dart blaster regardless of brand.
