neck tattoo
Collar-level body art
A neck tattoo is a tattoo on the neck, typically visible above the collar.
Because neck tattoos are difficult to conceal in professional settings, they carry associations with countercultural commitment or disregard for conventional employment: He had neck tattoos and face piercings.
Getting a neck tattoo signals that someone has crossed a threshold of visibility that more easily hidden tattoos don't require.
