nano SIM
Smallest phone card
A nano SIM is the smallest standard SIM card format, about 40% smaller than a micro SIM.
It contains the same chip but with almost all the surrounding plastic trimmed away.
Most smartphones manufactured after 2012 use nano SIMs: I need a nano SIM for my new phone.
Older SIM cards can be cut down to nano size, though this risks damaging the chip.
