music maker
One who composes
A music maker is someone who creates music—whether a composer, performer, or producer.
The term is deliberately broad and informal, covering anyone from professional musicians to bedroom hobbyists with laptops: She's been a music maker since she got her first guitar at twelve.
The plural music makers sometimes appears in inspirational contexts, from the 1874 poem: We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams.
