multiball
Multiple spheres active
Multiball is a mode in pinball where multiple balls are in play simultaneously, creating frantic, high-scoring action.
The term extends to video games with similar mechanics.
Figuratively, multiball describes any situation requiring attention to many things at once: Work has been total multiball this week—I'm juggling five projects.
