moss pole
Climbing vine stake
A moss pole is a vertical support for climbing houseplants, typically made of a cylinder wrapped in sphagnum moss or coco coir.
The textured surface mimics tree bark, giving aerial roots something to grip as the plant grows upward: My monstera really took off once I added a moss pole.
Keeping the pole moist encourages root attachment.
