moral certainties
Unshakeable value beliefs
Moral certainties are convictions held so firmly they feel beyond question—beliefs about right and wrong that someone treats as established facts rather than debatable positions.
The phrase often carries a hint of skepticism, suggesting the certainty may be more emotional than rational: He spoke with the moral certainty of someone who had never doubted himself.
In older usage, a moral certainty was simply a practical certainty—something so probable it could be relied upon, even without absolute proof.
