monkey face
Ape-like countenance expression
A monkey face is a silly facial expression made to amuse or mock, typically involving distorted features—puffed cheeks, crossed eyes, or a protruding tongue.
Children make monkey faces at each other; adults might make one at a baby to get a laugh.
The term can also describe someone's actual face as an insult, suggesting ugliness or simian features: What are you looking at, monkey face?
