Flowing inner magma
A molten center is the liquid interior of something that appears solid on the outside—most often a chocolate dessert designed so the middle stays gooey while the outer layer sets: The lava cake oozed when I cut into it, revealing its molten center.
The phrase also applies to geology, describing the liquid core beneath Earth's crust.
