mispress
Hit wrong button
Mispress is to press something incorrectly or by accident—typically a button, key, or touchscreen element.
The term appears most often in gaming and typing contexts, where a single errant keystroke can have consequences: I mispressed and sent the message to the wrong person.
A mispress is such an error.
