misinformers
Spreaders of falsehoods
Misinformers are people who spread false or inaccurate information, whether deliberately or through carelessness.
The term carries more weight than simply being wrong—it suggests a pattern of misleading others: Social media has amplified the reach of misinformers.
Unlike disinformers, misinformers may not intend to deceive.
