mischarging
Invoicing the wrong amount
Mischarging is charging incorrectly—typically charging too much, charging for services not rendered, or billing the wrong account.
The term appears most often in contexts of billing fraud or error: The contractor was accused of mischarging the government for labor costs.
It can also mean failing to charge a device properly, though this use is rare.
