minute hands
Sixty-second markers
The minute hands are the longer pointers on analog clocks and watches, completing one full rotation per hour.
Each marks the current minute within the hour.
The term distinguishes them from the shorter hour hands and, on some timepieces, the sweeping second hands.
The minute hands on the station clocks all moved in unison.
