militarists
Proponents of warfare
Militarists are people who believe in maintaining strong armed forces and using military power to advance national interests.
The term usually carries critical connotations—militarists are seen as too eager for war or too willing to let military priorities dominate civilian life: The militarists in the cabinet pushed for intervention.
A militarist may also simply be someone who studies or advocates military methods.
