midyear review
Halfway progress check
A midyear review is a formal evaluation conducted halfway through a year, typically assessing employee performance, progress toward goals, or organizational metrics.
In workplace contexts, it's a checkpoint between annual reviews: My midyear review went well, so I'm hoping for a promotion in December.
The term also applies to academic or financial assessments at the six-month mark.
