master password
Vault's single code
A master password is the single password that unlocks access to all other passwords stored in a password manager.
Rather than memorizing dozens of credentials, users remember one strong master password that decrypts their entire vault: Choose a master password you can remember but others can't guess.
If forgotten, the master password typically cannot be recovered, and all stored passwords become inaccessible.
