lucky dogs
Fortune's favorite people
Lucky dogs are people who enjoy good fortune, especially when it seems unearned or enviable.
The phrase carries affectionate envy rather than resentment: Those lucky dogs got front-row seats.
A lucky dog is someone you'd trade places with, at least for the moment.
