advantaged

Having a headstart

Advantaged describes someone in a favorable position relative to others—having benefits, resources, or circumstances that confer an edge.

The word appears most often in contrast with disadvantaged: programs for both advantaged and disadvantaged students.

It can also modify circumstances themselves: an advantaged upbringing, an advantaged position in the market.
