low-water marks
Lowest tide lines
Low-water marks are the lowest points or levels reached—literally the line on a shore indicating where water recedes at its lowest, and figuratively the worst or most diminished state of something: The economy hit its low-water mark in 2009.
The opposite of high-water marks, they indicate bottoms rather than peaks.
