lookie-loo
Nosy idle spectator
A lookie-loo is someone who shows up just to look, without serious intent to participate or buy.
The term originated in real estate for people who attend open houses out of curiosity rather than as genuine buyers: We had twenty visitors but most were lookie-loos.
It extends to anyone who gawks at accidents, browses without purchasing, or spectates without engaging.
