litter mat
Granule catching pad
A litter mat is a textured mat placed outside a cat's litter box to catch granules of litter stuck to the cat's paws as it exits.
The surface—often ridged, grooved, or made of honeycomb material—traps loose litter that would otherwise scatter across the floor: The litter mat catches most of the tracking before it spreads through the house.
