litigable

Able to sue

Litigable describes something that can be taken to court or made the subject of a lawsuit.

A matter is litigable if it involves a genuine legal dispute that courts have authority to resolve: Whether the contract was breached is a litigable question.

The opposite—matters of personal preference, political disputes, or issues already settled—are not litigable.
