liquid ban
Security fluid prohibition
A liquid ban is a security restriction limiting the amount of liquids passengers can carry through airport checkpoints, typically to containers of 100 milliliters or less, all fitting in a single clear plastic bag.
Implemented after a 2006 terrorism plot involving liquid explosives, the policy remains standard at most airports worldwide: I had to throw out my water bottle because of the liquid ban.
