kneadings
Bread prep motions
Kneadings are instances of pressing and working something with the hands, especially dough.
Bakers speak of multiple kneadings when a recipe requires the dough to be worked, rested, and worked again: The bread requires two kneadings, an hour apart.
Cats knead soft surfaces with their paws, so their repeated motions are also kneadings.
