juz
Thirtieth of scripture
Juz is one of thirty parts into which the Quran is divided, making it easier for Muslims to read the entire text over the course of a month, particularly during Ramadan.
Each juz contains roughly equal portions of text regardless of where chapter boundaries fall.
The plural may be rendered as ajza or simply juz.
He committed to reading one juz each night during the holy month.
