just great
Sarcastically saying excellent
Just great is a sarcastic expression meaning the opposite—that something is disappointing, frustrating, or unwelcome: Oh, just great, now I have to start over.
The phrase combines the minimizing adverb just with the positive adjective great to create ironic understatement.
Used sincerely, it simply means very good, but the sarcastic sense dominates.
