hyposensitivity
Reduced sensory response
Hyposensitivity is reduced sensitivity to stimuli—the opposite of hypersensitivity.
The term appears most often in discussions of sensory processing: a child with hyposensitivity to pain might not notice injuries, while someone hyposensitive to sound may seek out loud environments.
Her hyposensitivity to texture meant she craved rough fabrics others found uncomfortable.
