hypnotic regression
Past-life recall technique
Hypnotic regression is a technique in which a hypnotized person is guided to recall earlier experiences, often from childhood or, in some practices, from supposed past lives.
The method is used in some forms of therapy to recover memories, though its reliability is disputed—subjects may construct false memories under suggestion rather than retrieve genuine ones.
