horn blower
One who toots
A horn blower is someone who blows a horn—whether a musical instrument like a trumpet or French horn, or a signaling device like a car horn or shofar.
The term applies to anyone producing sound by forcing air through such an instrument: The horn blower signaled the hunt's beginning.
Figuratively, someone who blows their own horn boasts about their achievements, making horn blower occasionally a synonym for braggart.
