hoop houses
Curved growing shelters
Hoop houses are simple greenhouse structures made by stretching plastic sheeting over a series of curved hoops, typically metal or PVC pipe.
They extend growing seasons by protecting plants from frost and wind while letting in sunlight.
Unlike permanent greenhouses, hoop houses are relatively cheap to build and easy to relocate: We start our tomatoes in the hoop house in March.
