heavy meal
Stomach-weighing repast
A heavy meal is one that leaves you feeling full and sluggish—rich, dense, or large in quantity.
The heaviness comes from foods that are harder to digest: fatty meats, starches, creamy sauces.
I shouldn't have had such a heavy meal before the meeting.
The opposite is a light meal.
