green anacondas
Massive South American serpents
Green anacondas are the largest snakes in the world by weight, native to South American rivers and swamps.
These massive constrictors can exceed twenty feet and several hundred pounds, killing prey by coiling around it and squeezing until it suffocates.
They spend much of their time in water, where their bulk is supported.
Green anacondas have been known to take caimans and capybaras.
