graduation songs
Ceremony exit music
Graduation songs are music associated with commencement ceremonies and the transition from student to graduate.
Some are ceremonial standards like "Pomp and Circumstance," played as graduates process.
Others are popular songs adopted by graduating classes to mark the moment: Our graduation song was "Good Riddance" by Green Day.
The term also covers songs thematically about endings, new beginnings, or coming of age.
