ghoulies

Mischievous folklore creatures

Ghoulies is an informal, often playful term for supernatural creatures like ghosts, goblins, or monsters—the stuff of Halloween and children's nightmares: ghoulies and ghosties and long-leggedy beasties.

In British slang, ghoulies also means testicles, a euphemistic variant of "goolies": He got kicked right in the ghoulies.
