gas jockey
Fills your tank
A gas jockey is a service station attendant who pumps fuel into customers' vehicles.
The term is informal and slightly dated, reflecting an era when full-service gas stations were common: The gas jockey checked the oil and cleaned the windshield.
In most of the United States, self-service has made the role largely obsolete, though New Jersey and Oregon still require attendants by law.
