full moon madness
Moonlit mental chaos
Full moon madness is the belief that people behave more erratically during a full moon—more crime, more psychiatric emergencies, more chaos.
Despite lacking scientific support, the idea persists in folklore and casual observation: The ER was packed last night—must be full moon madness.
Hospital staff, police, and bartenders often swear by it.
